It’s been a little over two weeks since I’ve left my hometown and began my two weeks training for the World Race. And I can honestly say that it has been an amazing time.

There has been such a growth in the members of my squad. From the first day I met them to this moment as we wait in the airport to leave for Guatamala, they have all grown so much. It’s made me realize how much joy I take in the growth of others, especially my peers

It’s been a rough two weeks of training but incredibly fruitful so… let me tell you all what we have been through.  These past two weeks have consisted of: using porta potties, taking bucket showers, eating limited food, living in a 2 person tent, hand washing clothes in a bucket, attempting to dry clothes in the rain, getting tons of bug and mosquito bites,  attending many strong biblically founded teaching sessions, having amazing and brokenhearted times of worship, strong movings of the Holy Spirit, powerful sharings of testimonies, powerful prayer circles, heart moving baptisms, and many tears shed (good tears)

It has been a highly impactful training camp for my whole squad physically, mentally, and spiritually

Also, on another note, our teams have been put together and I was chosen by my squad leaders to be a team leader. I have 6 team members including myself and I have the blessing of caring for them for the next 6 weeks of ministry. Please pray that I can lead them well! And that I would be sensitive to His Spirit as well as  discerning and making wise choices

And please be praying that I get fully funded. $6,365 is what’s left to raise. God brought me this far and know He is faithful to provide, so please pray that I stay strong in believing in His providence.

Blessings

Elijah

  1. I am so glad training camp has gone so well for you. I am also glad the team recognized you as a leader. I will continue to pray God will stretch you in good ways while in Guatemala.

  2. Love hearing your heart in this! That you so enjoy watching others grow! Can’t wait to see how you also are part of that growth for others as you lead and encourage them this year!
