It has been really moving to watch my new friends grow in the Lord. I especially like to boast about one team member in particular. He is new to the faith but God is working in him rapidly. I’m always amazed by how many songs and singers he can name of the top of his head. He’s a big fan of music and lately he’s developed a love and hunger for worship songs. It’s been a blessing to see him grow in that new found joy.

I wish everyone could hear him worship. It reminds me of Mark 5 where the sick woman reaches out and touches Jesus’ garment and is instantly healed. Jesus immediately felt power go out from Him and asks, “Who touched me?” And His disciples responded, “Look at all the people around you. How can you ask who touched you?” The woman reveals herself and kneels down before Jesus telling Him what happened. And Jesus says, “Your faith has made you well” (Mark 5:25-34).

When I hear my friend worship, it is much the same. Someone who is seeking healing and who has reached out in worship. When others sing, he shouts. And when hands are at people’s sides, his are as high as can be; and his shouts sound like one who has gone through the demonic fires of this world but has found the amazing love of the Lord God Almighty. His worship is raw and real. Everyone in the room knows his shouts. His name is Jordan, now one of the two worship leaders of my squad. Here is a link to his blog page. He is one that has found the Lord, is continually pouring out his heart in worship, and he encourages me to do likewise.

Blessings,
Elijah

  1. Elijah, you are so good at finding the good in other people. You have a wonderful way of thinking of others.

  2. This is so incredibly encouraging. Can’t wait to continue to grow alongside you and be lead by such a humble servant!
